Dubbed “the new DIFC”, Dubai Hills Business Park is becoming a popular place to visit thanks to some of the best new restaurant openings in the city. Whether you live in Dubai Hills or have to travel to get there, trust us when we say it’s worth the trip.

Avatar
Last month, Michelin star Avatara said goodbye to her spot at the voco hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road and is now welcoming diners in a beautiful new dining room at Dubai Hills Business Park. Avatara is the first and only all-vegetarian dining experience in Dubai, offering soulful Indian cuisine inspired by simple, seasonal ingredients, focusing on pure, clean and natural products. The 16-course tasting menu is served in two sittings per evening, at 6pm and 9pm, as well as Sunday lunch.

DUO Gastrobar
From St. Petersburg, the award-winning DUO has officially landed in the desert. DUO is known for its reasonable prices, quality ingredients, delicious signature cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. The menu combines modern European cuisine with a light Asian touch. Chef Dmitry Blinov brings his 40 best dishes from DUO Restaurants from Band to the Dubai Hills outpost include tuna ceviche (Dh65), broccoli pâté (Dh35) and oxtail pie with taleggio (Dh75).

Japanese Kushiyaki Reif
Four years since opening Reif Japanese Kushiyaki in Dar Wasl, chef Reif has added a second restaurant to his portfolio. The second Japanese Kushiyaki Reif, located in Dubai Hills Business Park, is an adult version of the first. Homegrown Kushiyaki Reif Japanese Restaurant, with seating for 118, offers a more extensive menu than the original Dar Wasl restaurant, maintaining Reif’s unique culinary approach. Snail takoyaki, otoro with steamed Wagyu satsuma bread and black cod ramen are among the signature dishes, with prices ranging from Dh78 to Dh220. The decor also differs from the flagship restaurant with an open-plan kitchen, high-top tables, lounge bar and a private dining room for 12 people. Another big difference between Dar Wasl and Dubai Hills is that the latter is licensed, meaning the first area of the restaurant is dedicated to a bar, serving a variety of Japanese cocktails with fun names, along with all the usual wines and beers. .

How Lee Kow
If you are looking for an informal restaurant to meet up with friends or enjoy quality food with those closest to you, the unconventional Korean barbecue, How Lee Kow It’s worth a trip. When venturing into a new cuisine, chef Reif Othman was inspired by his years of travel and his love of Korean barbecue. Located at Dubai Hills Business Park 4, the restaurant is cozy and minimalist with fun nods to Korean culture including traditional masks, clothing and decorative fans. There’s also a stylish (licensed) bar serving thirst-quenching cocktails that will have you saying how kow reads. As for food, for starters we recommend the Jeju scallops (Dh96), Reif fried chicken (Dh48) and corn croquettes (Dh46). Next, the grilled ori gogi (Dhs168) is a spectacular dish with Irish duck breast served in an unconventional Korean barbecue style.

TERO by Reif
For those looking for a very special dining experience… A new licensed version of Reif’s beloved Japanese Kushiyaki recently opened at Dubai Hills Business Park, and with it, Reif Othman’s acclaimed 12-seater restaurant. chef’s table, Tero. Diners will enter through the back of the house, before beginning their immersive dining experience with drinks and snacks to start in the lounge, followed by a front-row seat at the chef’s culinary station. Tero’s monthly changing surprise tasting menu experience can be booked for groups or singles from Wednesday to Saturday. There are two seatings available at 6pm and 9:30pm, with eight courses priced at Dh888 and 12 courses at Dh1,212.

The tap house
Popular gastropub in the Palm Jumeirah neighborhood The tap house opened its third outpost at Dubai Hills Business Park earlier this year. Like its counterparts at Club Vista Mare and Souk Al Bahar, The Tap House at Dubai Hills offers the same range of top deals, so expect live entertainment and weekly promotions, including the popular Nan’s British Roast, as well as all the action sporty. The pub offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with one of the largest selections of drinks on tap in the city along with delicious European and Asian cuisine. If staying for lunch, guests can expect a wide variety of their favorite pub grub, including fish and chips IPA, steak and shepherd’s pie Stout or, for discerning palates, Norwegian salmon or peppercorn beef black sautéed in the wok.

Croq’Michel
Founded by Michelin-winning French chef Michel Sarran, Croq’Michel is a restaurant concept dedicated to the beloved French sandwich. Guests will be able to discover the Croq Paris, the standard variation of the croque monsieur, with veal Ham, Emmental cheese, dried tomatoes and bechamel sauce. Or for those with a taste for adventure, the Croq Bali, with shrimp, coconut cream, ginger, lemongrass, Philadelphia cheese, cilantro, emmental cheese and a splash of sate sauce.

Tania’s tea house
Anyone want a cup of tea-quila? Beloved Tania Tea House, the pretty pink cafe on Jumeirah Beach Road, is moving to a new location with a completely new look and an alcohol license. That’s right, if choosing from the plethora of teas and coffees made you scratch your head, you’ll now have boozy sip options to choose from on the menu. Opening in September, Tania’s will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a revamped menu, three event spaces and an enhanced on-site dining experience.
