Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and autonomous driving technology company Cruise have launched a trial to test autonomous vehicles based on Chevrolet Bolt in the Jumeirah 1 area of the largest city in the United Arab Emirates .
This is the first time that the RTA has issued a permit to test autonomous vehicles in Dubai. A partnership between Cruise and RTA will allow the American mobility company to operate autonomous vehicles for taxi and e-hailing services in Dubai in the future.
