Dubai’s Global Village has announced a 10 percent discount on tickets purchased through its app or website. The multicultural park has two types of tickets for the 28th season: ‘Value’, valid from Sunday to Thursday (except holidays) to encourage visits during the week; and ‘Any Day’ tickets that give visitors the flexibility to use them on any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Ticket prices start at Dh22.50, depending on destination.
“Visitors can continue to enjoy spectacular shows and entertainment on the Global Village stages free of charge with their tickets,” the park said when presenting its programming for the 28th season that begins on October 18.
The new season will feature 400 artists from around the world and present more than 40,000 shows. Fireworks will light up the sky every Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m.
Global Village will present Merry-Go-Round, a live circus troupe that includes jugglers, fire breathers, and acro dancers, among others. The Toy Shop will transport viewers to a world of toys that come to life after hours.
The new Cyber City Stunt Show is set in the year 2075 and features flying bikes, LED-covered police cars, and a tank.
“Season 28 will also showcase cultural performances on the pavilion stages and live street entertainment around every corner,” the destination said.
Crowd favorite AINJAA will be playing around the park from the start of the season throughout the new year. Filipino troupe and America’s Got Talent alumni Urban Crew will defy gravity with their stunts.
Team Fusion Japan is set to electrify the main stage with tumbling, hip-hop and physical feats in January. The UK Dhol Foundation will merge South Asian drumming with Celtic music in February.
Mumbai Nights will present Bollywood routines through the art of dance, while young visitors will be able to enjoy The Wonderers, PJ Masks and Peter Rabbit in the children’s theatre.
Offering entertainment, shopping experiences and cuisine from around the world, Global Village is a popular destination that opens during the UAE’s winter season. It has welcomed more than 100 million visitors since it opened its doors in 1997.
